OUR POLICY ON DECLAWING CATS

Declawing of cats is never acceptable. Declawing is physically, emotionally, and behaviorally traumatic for cats. Humane alternatives to declawing include nail clipping, behavioral modification, and soft paws. CATsNIP Clinic staff are happy to speak to cat caretakers about this issue and to discuss alternatives. Nail clipping, Soft Paws, and FeliScratch are great alternatives - humane and painless! The Board supports and approves the ASPCA Policy on Declawing Cats. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Our organization cannot function without our awesome volunteers! Can you volunteer every month? Once a week? One or 2 days a year? Volunteer tasks include coordinating/assisting with fundraisers, assisting at the CATsNIP Clinic or Operation FixIt, and co-ordinating TNR or the Pet Food Bank programs. Our Low Cost Spay/Neuter Cat Clinic

Why is the CATsNIP Clinic able to offer spay/neuter surgeries at such a reduced cost? The Clinic ONLY does cat spay/neuter surgeries so we don't need all the equipment, drugs, and veterinary tools that a full-service veterinary clinic needs. Volunteers donate their time and expertise every surgery day to help keep the costs down. The fees for free-roaming cats are LESS than our actual cost - we need caring people like YOU to help keep the Clinic going with your donations.
